Marshmallow is seeking a Director of People to lead their People team during a 12-month fixed-term contract. You'll be responsible for aligning people strategy with business goals and fostering an inclusive culture. This role requires strong leadership and experience in people operations.
You have significant experience in leading people operations, ideally in a fast-paced environment where you have successfully aligned people strategies with business objectives. Your background includes working closely with executive teams to foster a high-performance culture that prioritizes employee engagement and development. You understand the importance of creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong, and you are committed to driving initiatives that support this vision.
You possess strong leadership skills, having guided teams through periods of change and growth. Your ability to mentor and develop talent is evident, as you have a track record of building effective teams that deliver results. You are a strategic thinker who can analyze data and trends to inform decision-making and improve processes.
You are passionate about creating a positive employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle, from recruitment to onboarding, development, and retention. You have experience in managing various functions within people operations, including talent acquisition, learning and development, and internal communications.
Experience in a tech or startup environment would be a plus, as would familiarity with modern HR technologies and practices. You are adaptable and open to new ideas, always looking for ways to improve and innovate within the people function.
In this role, you will lead the People team at Marshmallow, ensuring that all functions work cohesively to support the organization’s goals. You will partner closely with senior leadership to develop and implement a people strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and values. Your responsibilities will include overseeing talent acquisition efforts, enhancing employee engagement initiatives, and driving learning and development programs that empower employees to grow.
You will be responsible for creating a culture of continuous feedback and improvement, ensuring that employees feel valued and supported in their roles. You will also lead efforts to enhance workplace wellbeing and ensure that the employee experience is positive and engaging.
