Google is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for Infrastructure Modernization to lead cloud transformation projects. You'll work with Google Cloud Platform and engage with technical stakeholders. This role requires 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture, ideally in a customer-facing or support role. Your expertise includes cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, and containerization platforms. You are skilled at engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders, and you have a proven track record of architecting and delivering multi-year cloud transformation projects on a public cloud, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
You hold a certification as a Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or a similar qualification, which demonstrates your commitment to excellence in cloud technologies. Your experience includes migrating applications and services to cloud platforms, and you possess a strong understanding of networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers, and firewalls. Additionally, you are knowledgeable about security concepts including encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
In this role, you will facilitate the adoption of Google Cloud products by educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses, ensuring their work becomes more productive, mobile, and collaborative. You will guide customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization. Your role will involve recommending integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement complete solutions on Google Cloud.
You will also represent Google Cloud in public forums, such as conferences and industry panels, and may contribute to open-source projects or standards. Your ability to listen to customer needs and deliver tailored solutions will be crucial in this position. You will collaborate closely with fellow sales Googlers to ensure that customer and partner environments are optimized for success.
