Staff Software Engineer, Google Ads Conversion Infrastructure

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 8 years of experience programming in C++. Your background includes 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and you have a solid understanding of compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. With 3 years of experience in software design and architecture, you are well-versed in the principles that guide effective system development. You have experience with distributed processing and large-scale data processing, which is crucial for this role. Your technical leadership experience spans at least 3 years, during which you've led project teams and set technical direction in complex, matrixed organizations. You are familiar with working on cross-functional or cross-business projects, and you have experience in the advertising domain.

Desirable

A Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field would be a plus. You possess deep expertise in data structures and algorithms, which enhances your problem-solving capabilities. Your ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence stakeholders is a key asset in driving technical changes and improvements.

What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of Google Ads.
