Amazon is hiring an Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure in Canton, Mississippi. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime for AWS data centers.
You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining critical infrastructure, ensuring that technology operates seamlessly. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills make you a valuable asset in maintaining high uptime for mission-critical facilities. You are eager to learn and grow within a dynamic team environment, collaborating with engineers and specialists to support AWS infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within the data center, including stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Your day-to-day tasks will involve hands-on work with electrical systems such as switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs, as well as mechanical systems like centrifugal chillers and air handlers. You will also participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance to uphold the high standards of uptime that AWS is known for. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of the data center, supporting the global digital experiences of millions of users.
