Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 8 years of experience in micro-architecture and design of ASIC blocks. Your expertise includes designing and implementing Register-Transfer Level (RTL) for various blocks such as CPUs, GPUs, and Memory Management Units (MMUs). You are skilled in micro-architecture and design performance analysis, utilizing tools and simulators effectively. A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field is preferred, emphasizing your strong foundation in computer architecture. You possess knowledge in areas such as Coherent Interconnects, Caches, and Memory Systems, and are proficient in Hardware Description Languages (HDL) like System Verilog and Verilog. You are eager to be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products.

What you'll do

In this role, you will shape the future of coherent memory systems for consumer SoCs, leveraging your technical expertise in design and micro-architecture to create advanced power and performance-efficient mobile coherent systems. Your work will directly impact the performance, efficiency, and integration of hardware experiences that millions of users rely on. You will explore and evaluate different micro-architecture and design choices for both coherent and non-coherent memory systems, authoring hardware micro-architecture specifications for next-generation systems. Additionally, you will analyze performance and power trade-offs, collaborating with hardware design, verification, emulation, and validation teams to build and test the hardware architecture. Your contributions will be crucial in developing innovative solutions that enhance the user experience across Google's product offerings.
