The Exploration Company is seeking a Future Projects GNC Engineer (Navigation) to contribute to the development of a modular space orbital vehicle. You'll engage in spacecraft navigation, subsystem requirements development, and algorithm implementation. This role requires expertise in C, C++, and Python.
You have a strong background in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) engineering, with experience in spacecraft navigation systems. Your technical skills include proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, which you have utilized in previous projects to develop algorithms and software for complex systems. You are adept at defining functional breakdowns and high-level requirements, ensuring that designs meet project needs effectively. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with engineers from various specialties to optimize vehicle design and performance. Your analytical mindset allows you to perform technical trade-offs and budget calculations, contributing to the overall success of future projects. You are committed to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies, eager to expand your expertise in the aerospace sector.
Experience with hardware and software architectures in aerospace applications is a plus. Familiarity with simulation tools and software testing methodologies will enhance your contributions to the team. As a Future Projects GNC Engineer (Navigation), you will take on significant responsibilities in the development of navigation systems for our modular space orbital vehicle, Nyx. Your day-to-day tasks will involve defining and managing the technical baseline for navigation projects, ensuring that all requirements are met throughout the design process. You will collaborate with the Flight Software team to manage interfaces and requirements, ensuring seamless integration of navigation systems with overall vehicle operations. Your role will also include conducting post-flight analysis to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement. You will engage in algorithm development and software implementation, contributing to the creation of robust navigation solutions. Your work will directly impact the success of our future missions, as you help conceptualize and pre-develop new technologies and products.
