SpaceX is seeking a Senior SOC/ASIC DFT Engineer to develop next-generation ASICs for space and ground infrastructures. You'll work on cutting-edge technologies that enable connectivity globally. This role requires expertise in ASIC design and DFT methodologies.
You are a motivated and proactive engineer with a strong background in SOC and ASIC design, particularly in Design for Test (DFT) methodologies. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you have a deep understanding of the complexities involved in developing integrated circuits for high-performance applications. Your intellectual curiosity drives you to explore innovative solutions that push the boundaries of technology, especially in the context of space applications.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside cross-disciplinary teams that include systems, firmware, architecture, design, validation, and product engineering. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams ensures that you can contribute to the successful development of next-generation ASICs that meet the rigorous demands of space and ground infrastructures.
Your experience includes hands-on work with ASIC design tools and methodologies, enabling you to tackle challenges related to performance, reliability, and manufacturability. You are familiar with industry standards and best practices in DFT, ensuring that the chips you develop are testable and meet quality benchmarks.
Experience with satellite communication systems or aerospace applications is a plus, as is familiarity with the unique challenges of designing for environments beyond Earth. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing DFT strategies for next-generation ASICs that will be deployed in SpaceX's Starlink satellite constellation. You will collaborate closely with design and validation teams to ensure that the ASICs meet performance and reliability requirements. Your work will involve creating test plans, developing test hardware, and analyzing test results to drive improvements in design.
You will also participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations based on your expertise in DFT. Your contributions will help shape the future of connectivity, enabling reliable internet access in previously underserved areas around the globe. As part of a fast-paced and innovative team, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that have a significant impact on SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.
At SpaceX, you will be part of a mission-driven organization that is at the forefront of aerospace technology. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for professional development and growth within the company. You will work in a dynamic environment where your contributions are valued and recognized, and where you can make a real difference in the world.
Join us in our quest to revolutionize space travel and connectivity. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your passion and drive to innovate are what matter most.
