Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Kuiper HR team is looking for a talented and strategic Principal HRBP to help Kuiper’s Government and Regulatory business teams develop and execute HR strategies that enable business priorities and foster the employee experience.

The Principal HRBP will work closely with VPs and Directors in our fast-growing government organization of Kuiper and partner to design and deliver talent solutions to business problems while advising/coaching executive leaders on business and organizational design strategies. This organization is comprised of a diverse, multi-disciplinary workforce including tech/non-tech/sales, cleared and regulatory professionals.

The client organization is predominately based in the US, across 3 key sites in Redmond, WA, Arlington, VA and Los Angeles, CA, alongside a number of growing international locations. We are seeking an experienced global HR leader who can effectively interact with the senior leadership team, possesses excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and works across multiple geographies.

To be successful, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You’ll help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve speed of execution, employee engagement, and talent development. As the leader responsible for key HR functions, you will drive how we adapt our processes and philosophies to enable Kuiper to attract, grow, and retain talent globally.

The role is both a strategic and hands-on role including improving organizational effectiveness & design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching and driving HR functional excellence.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and implement people plans and solutions that enable the business to effectively serve Kuiper’s domestic and international government customers.
• Partner with senior leaders and their leadership teams to develop a talent strategy that supports our growth, unique roles and skills, and a work environment where all employees can thrive and grow.
• Partner with Compensation and Sales leaders to design solutions such as sales incentive plans aligned to business strategy and goals.
• Working closely with specialist central HR & partner teams, as well as matrixed site and international HR colleagues to enable global expansion and HR support.
• Partner with the central HR Partner team to work with line managers and employees to address various employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
• Partner with the business to lead our Organization and Leadership Review, which focuses on succession planning, talent development and organizational health priorities.
• Inspect and analyze org health insights and metrics such as retention and employee engagement in order to recommend systemic improvements.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to build scalable recruiting program by translating the business strategy to required skills, roles, and work expectations.

About the team
The Kuiper PXT team is a highly cross functional team. Given our start up nature, we work very closely across our TA, COE and international teams to present one people view to the business. It's also a very mission-based organization where we get to be an intimate partner to bring that mission alive.• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably experience in Public Sector, supporting Tech and/or Sales organizations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation, data visualization, and facilitation skills.
• Previous employee relations and talent assessment experience.• Master’s degree in Human Resources or MBA.
• Previous experience leading in a matrix environment.
• Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving.
• Prior end to end senior HR leadership experience supporting a large (1K+), geographically dispersed organization that consists of operation roles and senior executive customers.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to integrate HR and business strategies.
