Apple is hiring a Senior GPU Top Level Physical Design Engineer to design and manufacture high-performance GPUs. You'll work with ASIC integration and physical design methodologies in Austin. This role requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
You have a Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of relevant experience in hardware engineering, specifically in GPU design and physical design methodologies. Your expertise includes ASIC integration, and you have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of the design meets high standards of quality and performance. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the physical aspects of design early in the cycle. Your strategic engineering mindset allows you to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, and you are passionate about crafting technology that enhances user experiences.
You possess hands-on experience in physical design and large chip integration, which enables you to implement complete chip designs from netlist to tapeout. Your familiarity with best practices in physical design allows you to develop guidelines and checklists that ensure the success of GPU projects. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate the needs of physical design to various teams, ensuring alignment and progress towards project goals.
Experience with advanced GPU architectures and familiarity with the latest design tools and technologies will set you apart. A background in developing methodologies for physical design and a track record of driving execution in complex projects will be highly valued. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the physical design efforts for next-generation GPUs at Apple.
