Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented software development engineer to design and build customer facing cross-domain cloud services. The AWS Cross Domain Services team provides solutions for customers to move data between AWS regions and accounts with differing security requirements.

Key job responsibilities
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to design and build an analytic platform to solve problems and provide analytic visualization of operational data. As a Software Development Engineer on the Pattern team within AWS Cross Domain Services (CDS), you will:
- Develop and maintain robust anomaly detection systems using Java and Python
- Collaborate with data scientists to implement and integrate machine learning models into production environments
- Design, build, and optimize large-scale data processing systems and ETL pipelines that handle big data workloads
- Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity throughout processing pipelines
- Work cross-functionally with team members to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Optimize existing systems for improved performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure smooth operation
- Document technical specifications, system architecture, and processes
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in big data processing and analysis

Our team works with big data to solve the analytical needs of AWS Security. We collaborate with leadership and Security partners building scalable data processing systems, implementing machine learning models, and creating analytic visualizations. We need Engineers who move fast, are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems, and have a strong will to get things done.

- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
