workplace for all Amazonians. The Business Assurance Center (BAC) supports this
mission by providing 24/7 global security operations center (GSOC) services to
roughly 500k global corporate customers, serving as a single point of intake for
corporate security issues worldwide.
The BAC is looking for talented incident response specialists to support our rapidly
growing GSOC program. A successful candidate will have a strong track record of
managing security incidents, writing detailed reports, coordinating with response
stakeholders, and driving positive service relationships among a diverse group of

action, and a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills. Time management
and continuous task prioritization is crucial to delivering support services in this
dynamic, fast paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
•Directly manage security incidents worldwide, working with response
stakeholders and notifying key partner teams.
•Coordinate with internal team members to ensure the effective triage and
escalation of security incidents.
•Draft written products and emergency communications with a high level of
accuracy and detail.
•Navigate a suite of technical resources to retrieve information and create
reports in support of incident and crisis management activities as directed.
•Participate in drills and table-top exercises, recommending improvements to
BAC practices.

As an Incident Response Coordination Specialist, you will work within a team of

customers, triaging and responding to their security needs. This is a shift-based
role within a 24/7 operation. You may be expected to work evenings, holidays, and
weekends.

About the team
Our team values work-life harmony. Availability for the GSOC’s 24/7/365 operation is often imperative to maintaining proficiency in this role, and we understand that striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success at Amazon. We encourage members of the team to use personal time as needed to cultivate this balance and to promote a productive and well-balanced life— both in and outside of work.

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
•Two (2)+ years of experience related to emergency management, GSOC operations, or other incident management roles in a high-volume, high-intensity environment.
•Demonstrated experience managing security incidents and crises.
•Verbal communication skills with an ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in high-stress situations.
•Proven writing skills to include drafting, editing, and publishing
written products such as incident reports, messaging products, and security alerts.
•Demonstrated ability to quickly collect and analyze data necessary to brief
stakeholders on important, time sensitive security issues.•Bachelor’s degree/certification in the fields of emergency management,
security management, project management, business continuity, or related
disciplines.
•Experience with access control and CCTV systems such as C*Cure, Lenel, or
Avigilon.
•Experience in emergency preparedness, developing and/or participating in
incident response trainings and table top exercises.
