This role requires deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and customs requirements. You'll collaborate with government regulators to ensure compliance for supplements and cosmetics.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in trade compliance, particularly within the MENA region, and possess a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and customs requirements. Your expertise includes navigating complex ingredient and labeling restrictions in the supplements and cosmetics industries, ensuring that products meet local regulations. You are skilled in managing relationships with local government regulators and customs authorities, facilitating product registration, and resolving clearance issues effectively. Your attention to detail ensures that all import and registration documentation is accurate and compliant with local standards.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where regulatory landscapes are constantly evolving. Your proactive approach allows you to stay informed of regulatory changes and adapt compliance strategies accordingly. You are a strong communicator, capable of articulating compliance requirements to cross-functional teams and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with regulatory expectations. Your analytical skills enable you to systematically review product formulations against local regulations, identifying any prohibited or restricted ingredients.

Desirable

Experience in the supplements and cosmetics industries is highly desirable, as is familiarity with GCC standardization and other regional regulations. A background in government relations or experience working directly with ministries of health and standards organizations will set you apart. You are comfortable working remotely and managing compliance efforts across multiple countries within the MENA region.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee and manage the end-to-end process of obtaining necessary governmental approvals and permits for iHerb's products in the MENA region. You will act as the subject matter expert on prohibited and restricted ingredients, ensuring that all product formulations comply with local regulations. Collaborating with local government regulators, you will facilitate product registration and resolve any clearance issues that arise. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that all import and registration documentation is accurate and complete, adhering to specific labeling requirements.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of compliance within a rapidly evolving market. Your ability to manage regulatory risk will be vital to ensuring seamless market access for iHerb's products. You will stay informed of regulatory changes and adapt compliance strategies as necessary, ensuring that the company remains compliant with all local laws and regulations.

What we offer

iHerb offers a supportive work environment where you can thrive in your role as a Compliance Manager. You will have the opportunity to work remotely, allowing for flexibility in your work-life balance. The company values your expertise and is committed to providing the resources you need to succeed in ensuring compliance across the MENA region. Join a team that is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance while contributing to the growth and success of iHerb in the global market.
