Tanium is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to drive sales within the State and Local Government and Higher Education sectors. You'll be responsible for generating opportunities and managing complex sales cycles in the Chicago area. This role requires proven success in sales and strong relationship-building skills.
You have a proven track record of success in sales, particularly within the State and Local Government and Higher Education sectors. Your experience includes engaging with C-suite executives and understanding their unique needs and challenges. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable navigating complex sales cycles, demonstrating the value of technology solutions to decision-makers. You possess strong relationship-building skills, enabling you to nurture and develop connections within your assigned territory. Your grit mentality drives you to identify urgency and convert opportunities into successful sales outcomes. You are based in the Chicago area, familiar with the local market dynamics, and have experience selling into organizations such as Cook County, the City of Chicago, and Chicago Public Schools.
Experience with sales forecasting and maintaining CRM hygiene is a plus. Familiarity with online webinars and in-person presentations to generate leads will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
As the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within your assigned territory. You will articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision-makers, expertly managing the complex sales cycle from initial contact to closing. Your role will involve nurturing relationships within your territory, ensuring a superior customer experience by delivering tailored technology solutions. You will collaborate with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts, generating appropriate sales development activity to maintain a healthy pipeline. You will conduct online webinars and in-person presentations to generate qualified leads, traveling approximately 50% of the time across a large Central US territory that spans 12 states. Your success will be measured by your ability to exceed assigned quotas and drive pipeline conversion.
