Canonical is hiring a Channel Partner Sales Executive to drive growth in Japan by engaging reseller and distributor partners. You'll leverage your sales expertise in open source and cloud solutions. This role requires a mix of farming and hunting capabilities.

Who you are

You have a strong background in sales, particularly in the technology sector, with experience in channel partnerships. You are skilled at identifying and engaging potential partners, building relationships that foster growth. You thrive in unstructured environments and are comfortable taking the lead on initiatives that drive business success. Your understanding of open source software and cloud solutions allows you to effectively communicate value to partners and customers alike. You are results-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving assigned annual growth quotas by identifying, prospecting, and engaging reseller and distributor partners in Japan. You will build and maintain strong relationships with these partners, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to align on strategy and execution, leveraging your knowledge of Canonical's offerings to drive sales. You will also be tasked with developing and executing sales strategies that capitalize on market opportunities, adapting your approach as needed to meet the evolving needs of the business. Your ability to navigate a startup-like environment will be crucial as you lead initiatives that challenge the status quo and drive innovation within the channel sales team.
