SpaceX is seeking a Principal Design Verification Engineer to develop next-generation ASICs for space and ground infrastructures. You'll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and leverage your expertise in validation and firmware. This role requires a strong background in ASIC design and verification.
You are a motivated and proactive engineer with a strong background in design verification, particularly in the context of ASIC development. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you have a deep understanding of validation processes and methodologies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside cross-disciplinary teams that include systems, firmware, architecture, and product engineering. Your intellectual curiosity drives you to explore innovative solutions that enhance connectivity and reliability in challenging environments.
Experience with satellite communication systems or broadband technologies is a plus. Familiarity with hardware design tools and methodologies will set you apart. You are comfortable working in fast-paced environments and can adapt to evolving project requirements. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will help you succeed in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge ASICs that are crucial for SpaceX's Starlink project. You will engage in the entire design verification process, ensuring that the ASICs meet rigorous performance and reliability standards. Collaborating with firmware and systems engineers, you will validate designs through simulation and testing, identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Your contributions will directly impact the deployment of advanced technologies that provide reliable internet access globally.
You will also participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall design process. Your expertise will help guide the team in implementing best practices for verification and validation, ensuring that all designs are robust and ready for deployment. As a principal engineer, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
