Job Description

The Amazon University Talent Acquisition (AUTA) team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support AUTA in its vision of shaping the Amazon of tomorrow by unlocking career opportunities for students today. AUTA is responsible for finding diverse, bar-raising students, delivering a frustration-free candidate experience, and ultimately connecting talent to the most in-demand opportunities at Amazon. This role will help bring that mission to life through the use of data, developing last-mile reporting solutions that support campus hiring. The successful candidate will use their analytical skills to recommend, design, and execute on reporting products that serve AUTA, customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Design reporting products, working backward from customer needs to define metrics and front-end visualizations that drive self-service insights.
- Build and manage Quicksight reporting products to support campus hiring.
- Perform deep-dive analyses to uncover root causes behind any data variances across source systems, reports, or teams.
- Support last-mile data products on behalf of AUTA, developing ad hoc or tailored solutions where automated solutions do not exist.
- Serve as a consultant on data topics, providing expertise to AUTA team members on how to structure, interpret, and communicate data for internal use and business customers.
- Translate data analysis and insights into well-structured, easy-to-understand narratives.
- Partner with business intelligence engineers and data scientists to improve data quality, metrics, and insights.

About the team
Amazon's University Talent Acquisition team plays a pivotal role in fueling the company's growth and innovation. Guided by a customer-centric approach, we work with our internal business partners to identify, recruit, and onboard top-tier student talent from diverse backgrounds. Our commitment to excellence drives us to raise the bar with each new hire, balancing scalability with a focus on quality. Operational efficiency, data-driven insights and a globally-minded, locally-responsive mindset enable us to create seamless experiences that meet the evolving needs of our dynamic organization.- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders- Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation
