Datadog is hiring an Enterprise Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise during sales presentations and product demonstrations. You'll engage with customers to articulate the value of Datadog's solutions and help close complex opportunities. This role requires strong communication skills and technical knowledge.
You have a strong background in sales engineering, ideally with experience in the tech industry — you understand how to communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience and can effectively engage with customers to address their needs. Your written and oral communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate the business benefits of technical solutions clearly and persuasively.
You are passionate about educating customers on observability risks that are meaningful to their business, and you have the ability to build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with sales teams to drive customer success and satisfaction.
Experience with observability tools or platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce. You have a knack for understanding customer pain points and can translate technical features into tangible business value.
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers. You will own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, ensuring they understand how Datadog's solutions can meet their needs. Your role will involve delivering product and technical briefings and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the capabilities of Datadog's offerings.
You will proactively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog's business and technical teams regarding product feedback and the competitive landscape. Your insights will help shape product development and feature prioritization based on customer input. You will maintain accurate notes and feedback in the CRM regarding customer interactions, both wins and losses, to inform future strategies.
