Overview

Datadog is hiring an Enterprise Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise in presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations for enterprise clients. You'll work with AWS, Azure, and GCP technologies, along with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 3 years of experience in sales engineering or a related role, demonstrating a strong ability to assess technical feasibility and drive successful sales conversations. Your background includes hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, which allows you to effectively communicate the value of Datadog's solutions to enterprise clients.

You possess a solid understanding of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, and can leverage this knowledge to address complex customer challenges. Your technical skills are complemented by excellent communication abilities, enabling you to articulate both business value and technical details to a diverse audience, including C-level executives and technical experts.

You are passionate about identifying and solving critical business challenges for customers, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with sales teams, technical account managers, and customer success managers. Your proactive approach and ability to build trust with clients are key to your success in closing complex deals.

You are familiar with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, or PHP, which enhances your ability to engage with technical stakeholders and understand their needs. You are eager to grow your skills and contribute to a culture that values collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships.

Desirable

While not mandatory, experience with additional programming languages or technologies will be considered a plus. You are encouraged to apply even if you do not meet every single requirement, as Datadog values diverse experiences and perspectives.

What you'll do

In your role as an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will collaborate with sales teams to articulate the overall value proposition, vision, and strategy of Datadog's offerings to customers. You will provide technical support during trial phases, ensuring customers understand the value of Datadog's solutions and addressing any concerns they may have.

You will conduct product and technical briefings for potential customers, showcasing how Datadog can solve their specific challenges.
