Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Design Verification Engineer to develop next-generation ASICs for space and ground infrastructures. You'll work with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance connectivity solutions. This role requires expertise in ASIC design and validation.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in ASIC design and verification, with at least 5 years of experience in the field. Your expertise in validation processes and methodologies allows you to ensure that designs meet rigorous performance and reliability standards. You are proactive and intellectually curious, always seeking to improve processes and outcomes. Your ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including firmware, architecture, and product engineering, makes you an effective communicator and team player.

You possess a deep understanding of systems engineering principles, which enables you to contribute to the development of complex systems that integrate hardware and software components. Your experience with validation tools and techniques allows you to identify potential issues early in the design process, ensuring that products are delivered on time and meet customer expectations. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive on the challenges that come with developing cutting-edge technology.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communication systems or similar technologies is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in ASIC design and verification will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. A passion for space exploration and a desire to work on projects that have a global impact will align well with SpaceX's mission.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing verification plans for next-generation ASICs that will be deployed in SpaceX's satellite systems. You will work closely with design engineers to understand the specifications and requirements of the ASICs, ensuring that all aspects of the design are thoroughly validated. Your work will involve creating test benches, writing test cases, and performing simulations to verify functionality and performance.

You will collaborate with firmware and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of the ASICs into the overall system architecture. Your insights will help guide design decisions and improve the overall quality of the products being developed. You will also participate in design reviews, providing feedback and recommendations based on your verification findings.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of verification processes and methodologies. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge of best practices in ASIC verification. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the success of SpaceX's mission to provide reliable internet connectivity through the Starlink project.

What we offer

At SpaceX, you will be part of a dynamic team that is pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development. You will work in a collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions are valued, and you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the future of space exploration and connectivity.

Join us at SpaceX and be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in the world. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your passion and commitment to excellence are what matter most.
